Expert Sunless/Spray Tan tips from seasoned, experienced spray tanners - our team!
Before arriving for your Spray Tan:
Exfoliate your entire body. Use Hempz Nation exfoliators, they are superior.
Shave.
Come to the salon with no lotions, perfume, or deodorant. CLEAN SKIN.
Wear loose clothing, nothing restricting/rubbing.
Take off all jewelry.
Don’t forget a hair tie for long or thick hair. We will supply the hair net.
Prepping in the room immediately before your spray:
Barrier cream – it is essential for good results. Use a dime size dallop for a light coating over the three following areas: Top of hands; palms; top of feet (do not put on bottom of feet). Pay extra attention to your nail beds!
Gently blend up on your wrists/ankles for smooth transition.
Put an even smaller amount of barrier cream on your knees/elbows if they are dry.
Put the hair net on, behind the ears and past the hairline to prevent an unnatural line from the spray.
After you leave the salon:
Avoid getting wet. Wait 4 to 6 hours before showering.
First shower after the spray – rinse until water is clear, use NO PRODUCTS, just water.
Moisturize entire body – use Hempz Nation lotion, it is the best on the market.
Next shower use gentle soaps, no exfoliation products. Do not exfoliate until you’re ready to remove the spray tan.
Moisturize at least once a day and always after a shower. Use Hempz Nation for the best results. This is a key to keeping your tan longer, and helping it to fade naturally.
